Holly....Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear got scared by the Leaf's "personal Greenpeace lecture". I don't know if yours does this or not.

At least her voice is pleasant to the listener's ear. I'd like for her to give me score updates and sports highlights while I'm driving.

Holly, I see poeple don't respect EV charging spots in your area, they don't get tickets like when you park in a disabled spots? or get their vehicle towed? you can't call the cops and tell them you can't charge? you can't just tell the store manager you won't be shopping in his store anymore if you can't park and charge? I'm mad because I realise people are selfish today.

I hit 45,500 Km (28K miles) this weekend.

No, there is no punishment. You can tell it to a store manager or customer service and they could opt to ask the driver to move, but I haven't gone to this extreme yet.

PSH. Next time this happens to you, I'm calling in a complaint with whatever store you're patronizing and I shall see what happens.

I would plug the charging cable to her car's grill, she would backup and brake her grill LOL

CRAZY day today. It was supposed to be a normal day at work, with me coming in at 10:30 am. However, I got a call on the store phone and it was my grandma, saying she needed to visit the emergency room because she passed out, and although she came to, wanted to get checked out. But the one her insurance is for is actually the one by my house. So, I had to leave work early to take her to the E.R. Instead of driving back to work across town and coming back AGAIN to pick her up, I opted to stay on this side of town. Well, I thought I'd get a quick charge after dropping her off, but the nearest quick charger had MAJOR flooding in front of it because of a ton of rain today. So I ended up going to one a few more miles away, which wasn't very efficient, but I had little choice at that point. Took forever to get there and back due to flooded streets, rush hour traffic, etc. I am finally home and my grandma should be out of the E.R. soon - thankfully she is OK. Just waiting for her phone call so I can pick her up.

Not sure if I will go back to work after dropping her off. Guess I'll find out when I call them.

LOL - Oh my goodness, that is SUCH a good idea. Although, because normally you come out seeing the front of your car, it may not work. But it would sure send a funny message! I may seriously have to try that. Let's just hope if they do drive away with the thing in there, that it doesn't end up breaking the cord instead!

I would applaud any retailer that posts signs threatening to tow (at owner's expense) any vehicle in a charging spot NOT using the charger. Just that simple! As a pre-tow warning, I would announce over the store's intercom that "such and such vehicle, license plate #, is blocking a charging spot and will be towed away if not moved in 5 minutes!" Ta-dah! You're welcome!

I find that I'm really getting less tolerant of incompetence or stupidity as I get older. Just another "soon-to-be" hateful old codger, I suppose.

I'd just print a sticker that looks like a warning message from the retailer saying this is a warning but next time the car will be towed. I'd write on the sticker something like: you are preventing other customers like you to charge their cars and go home. I'd leave a sticker on their windshield

I'm full of ideas, just ask LOL If the grill is big enough to insert the plug into a hole it would brake before the cord, even if the owner sees the cord before starting the car the message would be sent, oh my gosh this is a plug!!!! oh did I park in a EV spot?
