^ That's awesome!
Of course, you would have non-EV drivers driving in that lane, too, because it would the clearest. Trust me, I feel like if they can ruin anything, they will.

HAHA...got me laughing out loud over here.
Sorry, haven't posted in here in a bit because, honestly, life with the Leaf has been pretty mundane! Mostly I've been commuting to work and back, and the car has been performing as expected. My ONLY complaint is the tires. They are Bridgestone Ecopia low rolling resistance tires. The problem is that with rather slick road conditions + high torque, the tires skid on the wet pavement if I push the pedal a tad too hard. Add to that, I was going up this hilly, curvy, 4-lane road that I take on my way to work the other day. There was a large, old jalopy that I was attempting to pass, but it was so wide, and we were both going around the same curve. The pavement was wet, and I skidded a little. I was actually scared I was going to hit him, but traction control kicked in and I was in the clear. ![]() Other than that, gave Elektra a bath today (gotta do it at least once a week) and took her to a few different grocery stores. For once, Walmart was actually not a **** hole. Only ONE of the two chargers was blocked (usually they're both blocked) and I got right in line instead of waiting forever. And the cashier remembered me from before (he's a bit of a flirt, but I'm used to it) so that was nice. It would have been nearly perfect, except for a bunch of trash piled outside of my vehicle. Sort of stupid, considering there was a trash can less than 20 feet away.

Yes, that's an excellent, accurate review. Pretty much sums up all the important stuff about the car.

Here goes, LOL.
I was at Fred Meyer and was hooking up to one of the Blink chargers, when a lady came in and blocked the other one with her Jetta. I was like, "Did you know that's an electric car charger?" She was like, "Yeah, I know." I said, "Well, when I drive up and the chargers are blocked, I can't refuel because my car doesn't take gas. It's inconsiderate to prevent electric car drivers from charging." Then I told her my slogan: "I don't block your gas pump, so you shouldn't block the EV charger."She was like, "Ok, thanks for telling me," in a sarcastic tone, and instead of moving, just walked away. She had a little girl with her, and I thought by how bitchy she was acting, she was being a horrible example. And it's not that I was doing it for myself, because I already had a spot to charge, but more than once I have seen other Leafs trying to charge at the same time. Now, I take into full account that I am outspoken, and in a city such as Portland, which is highly regarded as being passive-agressive, people such as myself are a rarity. So I don't expect ponies and rainbows when I say something. I just wish people would be a bit more considerate. Other than that, had a decent day. Before Fred Meyer, went to Winco where I bought over $50 worth of groceries, but only afterward found out that if you do so, you can also get a turkey for 38 cents a pound (customer told me). So, although I had to wait at customer service for a while to see if I could get one after the fact, everyone was very friendly and accommodating, and I did get the turkey. An over 21-lb. turkey ended up being $8.00!

And I'm glad you stood up for yourself and EV drivers everywhere. People need to be aware of these things. There ARE signs and notices posted, right?

Oh yeah, for the record, aside from the obvious Blink charger is a sign that states "No Parking Except for Electric Vehicles." The thing is, maybe some of them think we are spoiled, but aside from the quick chargers, the L2 ones cost us money, so we actually do pay to park there.
