That has been my ONLY complaint about the Terracan: Lousy headlights! Too bad and almost useless.
I have replaced bulbs with higher power ones without noticeable improvement, so decided to go back to standard H1 and H7 bulbs, to prevent possible plastic melting and/or wire harness melt down. I've found that the problem is at the headlight reflectors themselves, especially the low beam (loupes). No matter how powerful bulbs you put in there, there will be not enough light! My wife's car (Chevy Optra) uses the same bulbs (h1 and h7) and the lights are great. Difference is at the reflectors. The optra has no loupes at the low beam, just a good designed large reflector and the light is very good. I've searched without success for some aftermarket headlights for the Terracan, that would really work (especially in low beam). Really don't care about the loupes (projector type). Just need good lights. If anyone here has found a solution, please let us know!
