Default Terracan ECU changed, central locking problem

Hello all, new to the forum. I have a 2003 Terracan which started firing on 3 cylinders. My (trusted) garage said after checking all possible causes (injectors etc) that they couldn't find a problem, but once they had removed the ECU and reconnected it, the problem had gone (simply clearing the fault code hadn't worked). Couldn't say what had happened, but that if it happened again then the ECU was probably to blame and need to be replaced (It had obviously been tampered with before as it was plastered in silicone sealant!). Well, it did happen again and I have bought and fitted a second hand ECU and key transponder. Car now drives far better than before, smoother and with more power, but the remote central locking does not work and I suspect the immobiliser is not working. Any thoughts? Many thanks.

Probably your immobilizer control module need reprogramming since you have a new ECU unit.

Find attached service manual pages for the immobilizer and keyless entry. You mechanic may help you with this information.
