Hi All
Can anyone tell me if the Delphi fuel pump can be changed on a Terracan 2.9 CDX CRTD 2004 J type engine without removing the Cam belt entirely? Also has anyone found an fault decoder that is compatible with this vehicle yet? Tim

In order to be able to remove the high pressure pump, the cam belt must be removed. This pump is driven by the cambelt (timing belt), meaning the pulley (to pump) has to transplanted to the new pump. I would take this opportunity to replace the belt for a new one, plus the related parts like oil seals plus tensioner. As for an OBDii scanner capable of digging "everything", I suggest shopping around for one of the high end scanners. I am sure none of the low cost ones (less than $100) will be able to retrieve everything).

Hi Tim,
I had an issue with my 55 plate, warning light came on on heavy load and accelerator. Took it to my local bosch diagnostic centre in worthing, told them I could fix it, but needed a diagnostic, only £25 and half an hour later they had a full report of over pressure in the rail. There is one of these centres in Ashford Kent give them a try, on Ellingham ind est. I think. Took off the injectors stripped them and they had a nice ultrasonic bath, back in, job done!
