I am wondering who on this forum has pets, what they are, and are the pets allowed to ride in your car?
I have a golden long-haired chihuahua, Loki. Looks like a cuter version of the Taco Bell chihuahua of old. He does not normally ride in my car (I like it a bit cleaner than that) but has before on a trip. He rode in a carrier going to, but on the way back, cuddled up next to my grandpa and just slept for 4 hours. Poor pic quality, but it's the essence anyhow:

Interesting post
We have a black Persian cat named Elliot, and a German Shepherd male named Otto. Neither is allowed to ride in our cars (unless is absolutely necessary, like for an emergency vet visit)

These aren't really pets per say as I don't own them, technically the government does. I've been volunteering at a local wildlife center for about 8 years now, and part of what we do is public education with live birds of prey.
The first two pics are a redtail hawk I've worked with for the past 5 years or so named Wi'waste(which is pronounced 'We-wash-tae') The third pic is Angel, a common raven. She didn't do the public programs, but we kinda bonded. |

Here is Charlie. She's officially listed as a mixed breed at the vet. She occasionally gets to ride in my car. I bought a furniture blanket to cover the back seat when we go to the park/vet. She's a great passenger. I also have a few snakes. They haven't been lucky enough to ride in this car yet.

WoW! Great pics so far! Some of them look like they're right out of Dog/Cat Fancy!
The bird pictures are super awesome. I think I want a raven now. |

That German Shepherd is awesome! Just like how they should look! Self assured and dignified! I have a German Shepherd/Collie 50/50 mix, but he just isn't the same as a purebred.

![]() These are my dogs Shaine (left) and Jarmaene (right) they are 14months old. They are of mix breed: Australian Shepherd with Maltese Poodle. They rarely ride my car unless I bring them to the vet or to the grooming place. Surprisingly they don't shed much so I don't have problem with hair getting on my seats. |
