Hey Goemon. I would love to share my thoughts about Unavi system.
1) I've had it for about 6-7months. 2) I haven't encountered any problem and I don't think it ever will cause any problem. 3) To be honest, I would give it a 10. I give it a 10 because it really is my first navigation equipped with such high-end technology, atleast to me that is. It is very user friendly. *Remember, I'm a female. People think females are not good with electronics (maybe true, but not 100%). My husband used to be a electronics freak, and few of my co-workers are electronic geeks so I learn a lot from them. I try to explore the Unavi system as much as I can. So far, I am enjoying it. 2 main reasons I gave it a 10 rating is for their customer support and truly what this navigation system can do. I call Unavi tech support if I have questions and they were always helpful. Like I mentioned, the technology of this system really impresses me. Im old-school so never had a dvd player, touch screen (besideds Tom Tom portable navigation) built-in to the navigation. Unavi has it all. Using the movie player comes into play when we travel long distance. I can go on forever writing this, but I am sure you'll be tired of reading lol so I tried to make it really short. Overall, you will be impressed with the purchase. I recommended Unavi to few of my co-workers, freinds and my uncle and they were all excited about their purchases too. I believe Unavi owes me commission :P I'm just kidding guys, but really love the product and their excellence in customer support. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me. I am not always online to check but I will check frequently. Sorry if this really long, I get all excited when I start to to talk lol. Hope you make the purchase and ENJOY!!! |

I called up one of my local Hyundai Service Department and I asked that if I buy an after-market navigation / back-up camera would they install it?
The serviceman said they only install if I buy it from them.. I said I am buying it online and just need installation.. He said he won't do it.. and also said that if I have it installed at non-hyundai service center then I will lose the warranty.. ![]() Is this true..??

The dealership is there to take your money. They want profit from you purchasing their product and charge you for servicing your vehicle. And lose warranty for what? Usually warranty on vehicle covers drive train and engine. An In-dash will not affect your drive train nor engine. They said that to not lose business.
