Hi,

I live in the UK and have recently taken delivery of a Hyundai i30 with a factory fitted Sat Nav and Audio unit using NavTeq mapping.

Have read the detailed Audio/SatNav "User Manual" supplied several times, but I am still having trouble getting to grips with the instructions on how to enter a destination.

Just wondering if there are any forum members who could point me to an alternative explanation on how to set up my unit - web link, alternative forum /user group, etc...

The main problem I am having is as follows :-

I start off with a known valid address and UK post code. After entering the first half of the postcode the optional letters remaining for selection do not then include the ones I need and the unit does not give me the option to "OK" and continue.

I try the alternative of entering the town name, which the unit then finds in its database. I then start to enter a valid street name and after entering several letters the remaining letters are again not included in the list. I can't select the correct street name and again the unit does not give me the option to "OK" and continue.

I don't understand how I set up the unit with just a partial address input. It seems to need a full address of town, street name, house number before you can then select the "Navigate To" function. If the unit only accepts input of a partial address then there is no option to accept it and try to navigate to at least the right area.

Any help appreciated.

Regards, Alan.
