Name for your car?

Just curious if anyone had given their car a name and if so, how did you come up with it.

Mine is named 'Simona' after the woman James Blunt sings about in his song '1973'. The song came out right as the CM Santa Fe started hitting its first full model year and when I heard the song, I swore I would give my next Santa Fe that name. Finally, on September 18, 2010, that happened when I took delivery of Simona.

I am still thinking of a name for my car. Hasn't come to me yet. I've named some of my past cars, though, so I think it's in the works.

Hubby thinks I should name her "Mrs. Elderworth III"

Ahem. I think not.

My black Elantra is named Bethany...LMFAO. Name comes from a parking pass for one of the sites I work at that is displayed 24/7, hanging from my rearview mirror (I call it her nametag, not a parking pass...LOL).

HAHA...oh my gosh. Bethany. I don't love that name, but I see why you picked it. I had a Nissan Stanza named Lucy, and I had a sticker that said it.

My parents were an inch away from naming me Bethany, but since my middle name was 100% going to be "Elisabeth," they thought that "Bethany Elisabeth" was way too repetitive. So I got named Holly instead.

zomg...just looking on a baby name website for "E" names - so many strange, unheard of ones!

I am trying to decide between Elvira and Elmira. Leaning toward Elvira. Elvira the Elantra.

My Hyundai i10 is called Hamish, not really sure why just seemed to suit the car??

Sonata is Hankuk Hanna after Korea and my fave cousin in Finland, Accent is Plain Jane, well because she's rather plain..

My Elantra is "dressed" in Blue and I'm a huge Star Trek fan. And of course its Korean, so I named it Hoshi after the character Hoshi Sato.

My 2012 accent is Donatello which means 'Given by God' in Italian. This little guy has definitely saved me from a few close call accidents. I guess it also helps I put a blessed rosary in him too.

At first I named her Eirwen, apparently Welsh in origin meaning (snow) white, but later decided to stick with the Atomic Guppy.
