Well, I figured a fitting tribute to the venerable LC Accent would be... another Hyundai
![]() We could have easily bought another Accent, but now that I'm over 30 not climbing in and out of a 2 door hatch is desirable. I would have preferred a manual transmission but the automatic surprisingly isn't too bad. Really good on fuel on the highway but gets a bit thirsty around town. My wife claims it's "boring" - any ideas?

Oh, okay! I was just confused because you wrote 'now that I'm over 30 not climbing in and out of a 2 door hatch is desirable' and it sounded like being over 30 (I'm way past 30) made it harder to get in an out of a 2-door car. Didn't realize you had a use for the back seat. Mine holds a jacket, a towel (I always have a towel with me) and my camera bag if someone's in the passenger seat. I've never actually been in the rear of this car... then again I owned my last car for 11 years and never got in the back either

Ironically Voivod - my other car (normal commuter) is a 1984 Mazda 626 4dr sedan - and nobody has been in the back recently either
![]() And for those that ask - yes I prefer the older car on the highway to and from work - the Elantra is more suited to wifey (feels like I'm driving a simulator on long trips) |
