New to the forum

Howdy all. My name is Joe and I'm in Albuquerque, NM. I drive a 99 Sonata GLS 2.5L. I've never been very mechanically inclined, but with the economic situation these days, you gotta do what you gotta do. My Sonata has been my "guinea pig" for trying out my skills I guess for the past 6 or 7 years. I registered today because I need to replace the crankshaft position sensor on it and can't even find where the %^&% thing is and the Chilton's Manual is no help.
So....a searchin' I go so I can retrieve my car from the parking lot at my old lady's workplace...

Un-bolt the tin off the starter, then reach up over top of starter to block, it hiding right there, 6" long pigtail come off and set in bracket there above starter by fan

Thanks for the welcome and the directions. I finally got frustrated with this one and sent it to the shop. My pride is bruised because I was getting decent at fixng this monster, but at least now I know where it's located (and it's not where the Chilton's Manual says
