Hello all. I looked at a few of them today and was veru positively impressed. It was raining, and I would want the longer version for cargo capacity, not people (I carry test equipment and tools for work, and collect and resore old radios), so I did not drive one. I'm looking forward to driving them when they come out.
I noticed that there is only about $2,000 between invoice and sticker on a loaded Sport (shorter version), much less than the spread on many other vehicles. My 2006 For Explorer Eddie Bauer V8 rear wheel drive without the third row and factory sound upgrade (far more cargo space that way) has 144,000 on it and has been an excellent vehicle, but it is time to either sell it or keep it until it has no value. The longer XL Santa Fe is the same length, but has more rear seat leg room. I'm 6' 1", and fit in the 2nd row of the Sport with the seat in front of me set for my 5' 10" wife, so the XL will be even better. |

Welcome! I would also suggest checking out the Toyota Highlander, I drove my aunts and liked it (comming from a suv hater), also has tons of cargo and back seat room, the 3.5 v6 is snappy and got 25mpg hwy with awd. No issues or rattles in 2 years. You would have to settle for much less options for the price of a fully equiped SF xl, though.
