Cabin Air Filter Question (complaint)

It's such a simple thing to replace and an easy way to save a few dollars, but here's my issue. I know there are places online to get cheap replacements, as I have done it for our other vehicles. But how difficult can it be for them to get the sizes right? I ordered a replacement for our 2008 Tucson after checking several places and seeing the pictures all looking the same. So this morning I go to replace it and the one that comes out of the vehicle is a different size and the pleats are going in the other direction. Its not a huge thing, and I ended up just cutting it to size. I can understand one vendor making a mistake, but they all seem to have pics of the "wrong" size filter. Even if they listed them by dimension, that would make it easier, now that the old one is out and I can measure it.

Anyone else find a good (cheap) source for the right size cabin air filters? No reason they should be more than $10.

The cheapest source is to buy a large, good quality air-handler filter (say a 3M Filtrete) for around $20, cut it into four parts (measured from the OEM filter), seal the two cut edges with duct tape and enjoy your new, properly-measured, custom-built $5 cabin air filter!...

There are (at least) 2 different cabin air filters for the Tucson.

One is part number was 97133-2E200. The system was modified midway through the 2006 year so that number is only good for 2005 through early-2006.

Late 2006-up used part number 97133-2E250 but that was replaced by part number 08790-2E250A

http://www.hyundaipartsonline.com/ sells both filters for $13.65 (plus shipping).

Why not have a look at some of the things on the forum as sticky's you know those at the top of the pages the reason you say? I tell you I sopurced cheaper replacements available from korea for modest costs they fit perfectly (cos the company make them for Hyundai )

USA vehicles only have 1 filter
European ones have 2

Well, that would have been nice if the info was still valid. He has no filters listed at all.

How do you access the filter ?? Does the glove box just drop down if you remove the two bolts at the bottom ??

I have ordered online 2 pc part no.97133-2E-250 which is a wrong part for my 2011 Ltd.
Size: 9-3/8" x 7-3/8" x 3/4".
Carbon filter (dark grey).
I checked online it is SAME SIZE as 08790-2E-250A for 06-09 Tucson all models.
Packed in a clear sealed Hyundai logo poly bag. (no box), will re-pack into bubble envelope with cardboard.
Manufactured/distributed by Beijing Hyundai (China)

Selling @C$16.50 + USA shipping C$9.90, Ontario C$14.00, other regions too expensive.
Yes, strange but true, USA is cheaper b+ they have small packet catagory.

Canadian dealer price @C$35+, plus HST. (& it's not carbon filter)
