Hi,

I am new to this forum, recently i just brought a used Hyundai Matrix 1.8 year 2002. after having the car for about a month, it happen twice that the minute i start my car in the morning, without any reason the RPM just short to 2000 or 3000 RPM. and I have checked that nothing was stuck at my accelerator, and my gear is at "P" , and when every-time it was happend in the morning. I really don't know why, but after i turn off my engine, and then take out my key, and reinsert the key and restart the car few time again, it go back to normal. ???? strange.... i wander is it because of some issue on ECU ? or is it my gear box is having problem ???

appreciate someone who can help me.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your reply, actually i did send my car to Hyundai SC, they use the computer to check my ECU, and found one error TPS error (total performance senser), so the guys in the workshop help me to reset the ECU and let me try again. I hope after reset it will be OK, ever since that day last Wednesday until today, every thing seems fine. hope it will be OK.

The Boss in the SC ask me to change the TPS it cost me about RM 185.00 + RM 45 workmanship . but i think I would like to bear with my car condition first, maybe it will be fine after reset the ECU.

but from both of your reply, seem like it is fine, so I will not do anything

Thanks man.
