Hello all.
I need help with getting back into my car which is locked up in a car-park at a cost of £10:00 daily, with the registration and insurance papers inside and I cannot find my keys. My first question is how do I get the VIN number as I'm told I need this for a replacement key, can you see the number from the outside? My second question is how do I get the six digit number for the immobilisers code, Is this the VIN number or do I get this from a dealership? Third question is there an easy way with out damaging the car to get in? Evan if I can open the car I can get it towed out of the car-park without any more charges (bus fares, parking and lost time). The car was a UK model from new but re-registered to the Isle of Man and the local dealer cannot give me the VIN number from the IOM registration number or the old UK number and the Government department who issues numbers said fill in a form pay this much and wait 3 weeks (fat lot of use they are.) Any help would be gratefully received as I need to get this sorted as quickly as possible. Thanks in advance Richard0000 |
